Privacy Policy

Last updated October 11, 2026. CareerPilot processes account details, resumes, job descriptions, notes and generated documents to provide its services.

Data we process

We store your name, email, hashed password, resume text, job records, application activity and AI outputs in the configured PostgreSQL database. AI requests send relevant resume and job content to OpenAI for processing. We do not send your account password to OpenAI.

Retention and deletion

Application data is retained while your account remains active. You can delete individual records or delete your account from Settings. Account deletion permanently removes associated database records. Database backups may remain subject to a separately configured backup retention schedule.

Security

We use authenticated access, password hashing and anti-CSRF protection. Use a strong unique password. No online service can promise absolute security.

Questions

Before public launch, the operator should add a monitored privacy contact address and review this policy with qualified counsel to ensure it accurately reflects hosting, retention, analytics and applicable law.
