How to create an age-neutral resume

This is not a way to misstate work experience. A role that started before the window but continues into it must retain its real start date. Full employment history may still be requested separately on an employer’s application form.
Which history window should I use?
For many experienced applicants, the most recent 10 years can demonstrate current skills. Senior leadership, specialized and executive roles may require 12–15 or more years of pertinent evidence. There is no universal cutoff: use the job requirements and your actual experience to decide. Age-neutral formatting may reduce unnecessary age cues but cannot guarantee hiring or prevent discrimination.

Will the AI invent dates or employers?
It is instructed not to, and generation includes independent factual checks and an unsupported-number guard. AI checks cannot guarantee accuracy, so review the output before submitting.
Can I keep earlier relevant achievements?
Yes. You can keep older evidence when it matters to the position, summarized separately and without pretending the achievements occurred recently.
Does age-neutral tailoring change job dates or qualifications?
No. Recent roles retain their actual dates, including roles spanning the selected cutoff. Older relevant roles may be summarized without dates, but no dates, employers, qualifications or achievements should be invented or changed. Always give complete accurate history when an employer requires it.
